| View in browser Weekly Update  \|  Issue 540 Together with Anthropic’s answer to Dots and Muse has been here OpenAI launched Dots at DevDay on Tuesday. Each Dot is an always-on agent with its own cloud computer and browser, hooked into the 4,000-plus apps that already connect to ChatGPT. In OpenAI’s own example, a Dot sees a bug alert land in Slack and starts digging in on its own. Cool.   And before Dots, Meta launched Muse, and it’s crushing the mobile install numbers ChatGPT previously set. And before Muse, xAI shipped its version, Grok Bot, in August.  Anthropic’s version, though different in a couple of ways, arrived two weeks ago as an update to Claude, and without a cute name or fuzzy mascot.   Read the full story →   — Matt Burns, Chief Content Officer Together with VASTData Confidential AI. Without the Trust Gap. Enterprises can’t send data to models they don't control. Model builders won't expose weights to infrastructure they don't own. VAST DataEnclave closes that gap.  Run the world's best AI models on your most sensitive data Hardware-isolated environments, cryptographically verified Sensitive data & proprietary models, protected. Gemini 4 Argon is here: It's great, and you can't have it yet Google's Gemini 4 Argon tops OpenAI and Anthropic on most benchmarks, especially knowledge work, but its coding scores are mixed, and access is limited. AWS launches a local answer to TypeSafe's Jev decision model AWS's new Strands Decider 2B is a small decision model that runs locally and gives AI agents a fast check before they act, with no invalid outputs. Developers and platform teams both want Kubernetes self-service. They disagree on who owns it. That tension is the whole story: HPE's Marius Bogoevici and Karthik Subramanian break down what can safely be handed to developers as self-service, and what still has to stay with the platform team, turning weeks of ticket handoffs into a paved path measured in hours. What managing 150,000 AI agents could look like for database teams AI agents are taking over the DBA's hands-on work while spawning far more databases. Yugabyte is betting DBAs will manage the robots instead. Enterprise AI desperately needs to protect data and models. Here’s how confidential AI could do it. Enterprises want AI on their most sensitive data. Model builders won't hand over their weights. VAST Data's confidential AI aims to protect both. CloudBees just committed to an AI-first pivot. Here’s why it matters for enterprise DevOps teams Generative AI didn't just add new tools to DevOps; it flooded the world with machine-generated code that no enterprise pipeline was built to handle. In this episode, new CloudBees CEO Mo Plassnig tells The New Stack why his board rejected business as usual, and what he found touring Fortune 500 engineering orgs: a hard look at conference hype versus enterprise reality, and a bet on where DevOps goes next. On October 7, WHOOP's Vinay Raghu and Datadog's Amber Tunnell walk through the workflow that changed that, built with Datadog Bits AI and Workflow Automation. Attackers are moving at machine speed, and most SOC teams are still bottlenecked by human-speed triage. In this October 8 session, we will discuss what security leaders are actually prioritizing. Then we will show it live — an AI agent handling a full investigation and exactly where the human still steps in.
